Course leading to qualifications: "Certificate IV in Design" or "Certificate IV in Visual Arts & Contemporary Craft" from the Australian National Training Authority's VISUAL ARTS, CRAFT & DESIGN (CUV03) Training Package:

This course has been designed to address the core competencies that will be needed by visual communicators in the new millennium. Students will not only explore current theory and practice in the areas of art and design, technology and self promotion but will also be encouraged to develop a personal vision for the future.

Kidogo Institute director, Joanna Robertson, has put 16 years of research into the educational needs of future artists and designers to ensure that they are best prepared to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing global marketplace. To this end she has visited relevant institutions and interacted with art educators across Australia, England, Ireland, USA, Singapore, France, Malaysia, China and Africa. Our courses incorporate the opinions and philosophies of experts with international experience in art and design, marketing and business. Each course component is delivered by a recognised expert in the field. On completion of an accredited module students have the choice to develop course work independently (in another country even) for up to a further 3 months prior to presentation for assessment. This enables the student extra time, should they require it, to develop their work to their highest personal standards prior to assessment. This option is unique to Kidogo Institute students.

Students are required to have an 85% course attendance.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may qualify you for some exemptions.

A $150 material fee will be charged in addition to course fees.
