KIDOGO ARTHOUSE
Is an Independent Art Centre situated on Fremantle's favourite local beach. The building dates back to the 1870's and was originally built to store explosive goods! Ironically the interior proportions lend superbly to the exhibition of artworks. Dolphins frolic in the surf beneath our windows. Musicians and singers love the acoustics. Playwrights and actors find the intimate environment perfect for performing original works.
Visual, performing & literary artists can book the gallery for solo-shows, installations, private viewings, screenings, launches, readings, workshops, recordings and performances. Kidogo supports an Artist-in-Residence program.

EXHIBITING at KIDOGO ARTHOUSE GALLERIES
There are two galleries at Kidogo Arthouse that artists can hire to have an exhibition.
Gallery Hire Rates for Exhibiting Artists (other uses attract different hire charges):
White Gallery (size 5,5 x 9.3 m):
Hire fee: $770 per week (includes $70 gst). No commission is charged by the gallery. See "Terms & Conditions" to follow.
A week is from Friday - Thursday.
Large Gallery (size 13m x 9.3 m):
Hire fee: $962.50 per week (includes $87.50 gst). No commission is charged by the gallery. See "Terms & Conditions" to follow.
TERMS & CONDITIONS TO EXHIBIT AT KIDOGO ARTHOUSE GALLERY
The secure an exhibition at Kidogo Arthouse a booking deposit must be paid at the time a booking is made. This booking deposit is $110 per gallery, per week booked. This booking fee is non refundable should your exhibition be cancelled or the dates changed. A verbal booking will be held for 4 days, by which time the $110 booking deposit must be received by the Gallery
The balance of hire fees is due 30 days prior to the commencement date of the exhibition, or the booking becomes invalid.
Kidogo Arthouse Gallery is a Heritage Listed building. The gallery has a full hanging system in place. Under no circumstances can a nails be put into the walls or anything else which might cause damage to the integrity of the building's surface or structure.
Publicity, manning the exhibition, sales, printing, invitation design, mail-outs, refreshments, security and all other aspects relating to the staging of a professional exhibition are the full responsibility of the artist(s)/exhibitor(s).
The exhibiting artist(s) or their representatives are obliged to stage their exhibition and conduct themselves in a professional manner, and not cause damage to either the gallery or its contents throughout the time of their exhibition. The gallery owner has the right to cancel an exhibition at any time in the event of non-compliance to these terms and conditions. No refund will be issued as this will be taken as a breach of contract. The gallery reserves the right to seek compensation from the artist for any damages that may occur as the result of unprofessional behaviour.
SERVICES:
Staff at Kidogo Arthouse Gallery are happy to give exhibiting artists advice on promoting their exhibition. This service is free to all exhibiting artists. By appointment only. Tables and Chairs are available for use for free for the opening of an exhibition. Tea and coffee are available to exhibiting artists for free from the kitchen .

Invitation design: $110
Poster Design: $110
Sending Media Releases on your behalf to 41 Media addresses: $66
Manning the Exhibition: $22 p/h
Assistance with hanging the exhibition: $27.50 p/h
Hire of white plinths: $2.20 per plinth per day.
Hire of Glasses for Exhibition Opening: $0.33 cents each. $5 per breakage.
Hire of Coffee Mugs for Exhibition Opening: $0.33 cents each. $5 per breakage.
Hire or Water Urn: $14.30 |
